Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne, a living legend of the blues and boogie-woogie, born in Spokane, is one of those pianists who carries history in every key. A Grammy winner, recipient of the Bobby “Blue” Bland Lifetime Achievement Award (2023), and named Pianist of the Year by the Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Magazine, and Living Blues (all in 2024), his brilliant career also led him to the Boogie-Woogie Piano Hall of Fame (2017) and to win a Juno in 2006; this year he was named the winner of "Blues Keyboard Player of the Year" at the 2026 Canadian Blues Music Awards.
